Located in southern
Sri Lanka, '41' is the ideal place to explore Sri Lanka's golden beaches,
international cricket ground and Galle Fort itself. It is a newly renovated 300
year old Dutch villa lying within the walls of Galle Fort.
At '41' you can enjoy
a combination of modernity and history; LCD TVs and an i-pod compatible speaker
coexist with the villa's original features, including pillars and archways,
high lime-washed ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Elegance is the word when
it comes to '41', offering a private and relaxing holiday experience; Tatler
has described '41' as 'Sri Lanka's sexiest villa'. You can paddle in the large
pool, read in the library and enjoy a delicious meal cooked by the villa's very
own chef in the high-walled courtyard just outside. Accomodation: There are 3
AC double bedrooms which are available to rent in its entirety. Each of these
come with ensuite terrazzo bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the
courtyard. The Master Suite is furnished with 'cuddle up' sofas, a private sun
lounging balcony, flat screen TV and iPod compatible surround sound. The Master
Suite's bathroom boasts an enormous copper bath tub.
The spacious villa offers a complete private bar and guests
can enjoy reading in the ambalama in the garden over looking the expansive
pool. Wireless internet can be accessed from the library. '41' has a DVD
collection, satellite TV and a pool table (the only one in the Fort!). Three
members of staff will be on ground at the villa during your stay to serve you
and the chef is able to cook Asian fusion, local and international food.
